The Thermasorb Stock pad was probably the first gel-based absorbent pad in the world. It easily absorbs more than 1 litre of fresh water.
Absorbing Salty Liquids
The Stock Pad is famed for its ability to absorb saline liquids like sea water. Total absorbency is reduced to 230ml with salt at 2.5%. This is plenty for use with live shellfish, fish that have been cooled with salt water ice and for any saline application.
